Actually I have R1/R4 (24K / trimpot 1K) in series connected to pin 35 REF LO
at one end, to +9V and Pin 1 at the other side.
pin 36 is connected to the variable end of the trimpot R4.

At what I understand I have change R1 (24K) whith a pot of about 250k
according to
roger@ph*.mc*.ca* web site, or 50K acordind to the book, wich are
your expirience?.
