Hans, Let me just take a moment of everyone's time to thank you for your post. The information you also posted about wet vs. dry PP02 tolerance was also very useful. Despite my extreme lack of medical knowledge, your posts are always extremely informative. I understand that hyperoxic myopia is transient. In my cousins case, after several days of training rotations, using the LAR V's, they cant see to hit the broad side of a barn while shooting. After a few days, the situation goes away. Its my understanding that this takes quite an exceptional exposure to 02 for the symptoms to materialize. While I have your ear, I was hoping you could expand a little on the info GI put forth a while back concerning the oxidation of alveolar proteins during high PP02 deco gas use. The nearest library of any size to where I live is a 2 hour drive, so, if you were wondering why I am such a sponge for info......
