According to a SB sales rep: -Scubapro is bringing back the 660' Uwatech bottom timer. -Apollo is filing the Japanese version of bankruptcy. What this means for the apollo/dacor scooter is unknown. -They are working on a large-pocket jetfin. -The Oceanic patent on the Farallon spring strap is soon expiring. -The reason they don't make a simple bottom timer with integrated profile recorder is that it that what they would have to do is purchase a OEM dive computer and disable the deco portion, which means it would be no less expensive than one with deco. If they made a brand new chip which does not have the deco portion it would wind up costing more than a deco computer. So if you want a bottom timer which records your profile, you have to purchase a deco computer which allows you to switch it into "gauge mode". A Nitek will do this.
