Unfortunately, unless you make up the harness yourself, then the quick  =20
release is always quite high up on the shoulder=2E My old Dive Rite had it=20=

above the D-ring=2E I found the clips tended more to release when  =20
accidentally nudged rather than by breaking, and with the clips being so  =20
high you just could not get the leverage to replace it=2E With a stage  =20
bottle in place you did not even stand a chance=2E

The other downside is that if the the female buckle breaks in the field  =20
you had no way to replace it because it was generally stitched in place=2E=20=
 =20
It meant throwing away a whole harness for the sake of a piece of plastic =20=
=20
which cost pennies=2E

On a side note, I found people had as much trouble getting the harness  =20
off with one shoulder clip as they did with continuous webbing during  =20
rescue drills=2E Why not just cut it from the outset rather than as a last=20=
 =20
resort?
