Which new version of the board did you get. I have built 3 analyzers for people and I have ended up with 3 different circuit boards. The first one I recieved was the one that is on the website. The second is a slightly changed version that still uses normal components. You still need to remove the resister "R3" as labeled on the circuit board but it is in a different place I believe on the top of the board rather than next to the adjusting potentiometer. The third PM128 I recieved was a real joy. It came with surface mount resisters which are fun to work with since they are so small. The resister you need to remove is still labeled "R3". You need to remove that resister altogether you cannot cut off the leads you have to un-solder it from the board. You are then left with 2 pads to solder the leads from the new potentiometer. BTW the PM128 that I worked on with the surface mount resisters was also back lit which was kind of nice. Good luck and safe diving, Brian Kuner Chris Elmore <ElmoreC@gw*.sc*.ed*> wrote: > The plans on Jim Cobb's website for making an O2 analyzer call for a PM128 circuit board. A new circuit board has replaced the one illustrated on the website but the layout of the new one is completely different than the older one. I tried to contact Jim Owens (who wrote the article) but my email bounced. If anyone knows how to reach him or configure the new CB I'd really like to hear from them. Until this gets figured out I'd caution people from buying the PM128 to make an O2 analyzer. Thanks, C.
