The UK BBC TV channel 1 program (7.30 pm on 27 Jan 1995) "Tomorrow's World" showed the Cis-Lunar rebreather. It talked as if the principle of the rebreather had only just been invented. It said that rebreathers cause less nitrogen absorption but said nothing about oxygen poisoning. It said that "scuba is wasteful of air ... the latest thing is `Cuba' = `closed circuit underwater breathing apparatus'.". `Cuba' here is presumably the initials `CCUBA': but yet that threatens to cause spoken confusion with the island of Cuba, particularly as Cuba (the state) now offers scuba diving holidays.
