They all are - 3 of them. Listen, Ken, even Mount, who listed them in his post, pointed out why they died: 1) Mc Fadden ( 1990 )- DEEP AIR- we don't do it anymore , but the agencies teach it? 2) 1991 Parker Turner - cave collapsed 3) 1992 - Sheerwood Schile - Should not have been diving, I refused to dive with him. 4) Otherwise his practice of leaving all of his stage regs over his shoulder instead of parking them per our stage bottle protocol caused him to think he was out of gas, and he panicked. Number of WKPP divers killed on my watch ( since I have run the Project) ************* ZERO *************. Why ? Because of all the rules you strokes hate and we love - just that simple. Size and number of dives done on my watch vs. previous regimes - you figure it out. We do not take a lifetime learning the obvious like the rest of you and the agencies . Tom Mount says "shit happens" - I say it happens when you do stroke shit. Let me add some more things on Turner's death - 1) he was diving a Tekna scooter. I do not allow them at our sites . His failed, and Gavin was towing him out. 2) Turner had bullshit fills in his tanks . He refused to take my bottles which were full. 3) Turner did not feel like diving and was sick that day, as was most of the team. He refesed to let anyone fill in for him on the dive ( violation of Option Number One , "Don't Dive" ). 4) Turner had every asshole in town helping that day instead of real WKPP safety divers and they screwed around getting the job done - that has obviosly changed , much to the chagrin of the "community". The big thing Ken, old boy, is that we LEARN immediately from mistakes, the rest of you teach them and swear by them. We can't fix ingorant and stupid ,but we can get to those who can see the obvious and who want real information and do not want to deal with stroke thinking. Othe dead WKPP divers no on WKPP dives - 1) McGuire - improperly marked bottles. Funny ( not so funny ) that six years later I pull a body from an IANTD class off the ocean floor with the same problem? Hello, Strokes, are you listening?????????????? 2) Sheck Exley - deep air and one serious violation of Rule Number One. "Deep Air" is still taught by the truly ignorant and the real strokes.
