Actually Mike, as one of those "medic" researchers to whom you refer, I couldn't agree with you more. The worse part is that not only are most physicians untrained in research, they frequently have trouble objectively interpreting the research done by others. This is especially true when it comes to critically evaluating the quality of the research and the validity of the analysis.
