The fact is that the 400 reg has a flapper type diaphram that makes it beathe wet in side and upsidedown positions, and the reg can not be taken apart to free the mushrooms underwater. Both of these things make it a suboptimal reg. You are right Bowdin is a stroke, and Exley is dead. Are you done yet? Michael J.
