The new harness allows the tanks to sit a little lower on my back since I have to keep the shoulder straps a little looser to facilitate getting out of the rig easier. The lowering the tanks makes it a little more difficult to gain access to the tank valves should I ever need to stop a free flow or something, especially now since the crotch strap will significantly reduce the amount of upward play that there was in the old harness. So I am thinking about dropping the back plate a few inches compensate. At the moment I have not had the new harness in the water since all the water is frozen in Canada at this time of year, so all I have to go on is a fitting in my basement wearing my dry suit. Is there a rule of thumb or some trim/balance issues I should be aware of when positioning the backplate on the twins? Should the wing come to a certain height in relation to the manifold, or the manifold be a certain height in relation to your head, etc, or is comfort and ease of valve access the only issue here? I did have a quick look at the archive but did not see anything that exactly answered my questions. Sorry if this topic has already been beaten to death on this list, but, any info would be greatly appreciated!
