The Channel Islands, Anacapa, Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa and San Miguel are 20 miles South, two hour boat trip. I've been told by many divers that it has some of the best diving in the world. The Islands are known for their kelp forests, which provide a safe haven for an abundance of colorful marine life. Also Anacapa and Santa Cruz Island have great Cave diving. Vis is usually 30 to 50 ft and depth ranges from 30 to 70ft for recreational diving with lots to see and to 150ft for more advanced diving.
