What you have noticed is a distortion by two individuals, MHK and Scott, regarding a post on rec.scuba asking about pony mix. I posted that I would breathe EAN40 as bail-out on dives WITHIN, not up to, 130ffw. In fact my dive plan usually includes an air-filled primary plus EAN40 in a pony, and most wrecks I visit with my boat are within 100ffw. It would be revealing indeed if MHK or Scott, who are obsessed with humiliating me, could find ANY statement I made about pony mix and reprint the ENTIRE statement here, so that people can judge for themselves (not some phrase taken out of context, but the entire post). I do find it interesting that Mr. Hunsucker revealed the extent to which WKPP divers are exceeding established oxygen limits, up to 20,000 percent??? You don't have to be a diving physiologist to wonder about the credibility of that statement. As I look at this and other postings on this list, I have seen so many errors (eg. Lasik surgery NOT requiring a knife; ANABOLIC steroids used to treat a lung injury from contaminated oxygen) that the message just gets lost in all the noise.
