Hi Guys. With regards to the crimps on 'Low Pressure' hoses. If you feel confident about a bit of DIY, then a company called 'Imperial Eastman', make a manually operated crimping tool with which you may either make your own hoses, or repair damaged ones. I originally got mine from a company in Tallahassee, who sold hoses and fittings along with all sorts of other goodies. Sorry cannot remember the name of it now, is was some eleven years ago. I have not worn it out yet and it is still going strong. Excellent quality. If there is such a company near you, it could be worthwhile enquiring as to whether this unit is still available. I am sure that it will be. You can get all different sizes of 'Crimping Dies' to fit it and you can buy the crimps also. I bought 2000 crimps at one go, of the standard size for 1/4" bore hoses and had them bright zinc plated (they were originally plain brass). Made hundreds of hoses since, with never a failure yet. Probably still some of mine around in Florida. If you decide to go this route, make sure that you practise on a few spare hose bits first. Worth the sacrifice of a few crimps to get the feel of what you are doing and how to properly assemble the parts together. It is relatively easy, but you need to care during assembly. If you want to use new end fittings instead of salvaging the old ones (which is quite acceptable if done properly), then contact either 'Pro- Sub' (if they are still going)?. Or 'Sherwood Selpac' about getting these items. It would help I am sure if you were a service technician or something like that for either of these companies. There may be other outlets, that's up to you. You can get the fittings for regulator hoses and also the Q/Rs for B/C hoses. Because I make them professionally, I have made up a simple test rig to test the hoses after assembly. What you do is up to you and your conscience. Either way, remember that this is not a toy and you are working with hoses that represent some ones, maybe yours, life support equipment. 'REMEMBER THAT THIS INFO IS FOR LOW PRESSURE HOSES ONLY' Take care out there!!. Mike. Michael Dunning Aquatech Diving Services. Isle of Man. (WKPP Member. Tallahassee.
