[as far as i know] Apeks (a UK company) was purchased in 1999 by Aqua-Lung (a 
subsidiary of Air Liquide, France). Distribution as of February 2000 ( at 
least in North America) will now be thru SeaQuest (a sister company of 
AquaLung) and distribution thru Zeagle phased out.

Zeagle showed a new line of regulators at DEMA. 
1st stages nearly same as existing Apeks. Second stages appear similar 
design, but smallercase , more size of SP-G500 or Atomic 2nd stage. According 
to my friend TJ [who attended their technical/repair seminar] they are 
"claiming" extremely low (less than 1.0J WOB) breathing scores.
