In some rare cases, vision problems are not correctable with a lens. I don't know if this is the case for Simon or not. I have a very bad astigmatism in my left eye (which was caused by the scleral buckle I had to get when I got a detached retina several years ago), and my ophthalmologist has been unable to give me a contact that both (a) fits properly and (b) gives me correct vision. Glasses are not an option because one eye is very nearsighted and the other one is not nearsighted at all. Eventually, I would like to have surgery for it, so I for one would be interested in knowing if it's okay or not. At 06:11 AM 01/27/2000 , Thomas A.
