My name is Dawn Kernagis, and I am an employee at Bill's Scuba in Raleigh, NC. I am new to the techdiver mailing list, but I have read bulletins from both friends and over Compuserve from techdiver. I have found some of the discussions on rebreather technology and cave exploration to be very interesting. My recent interests in technical diving have been focused on deep, mixed gas diving physics (i.e. heat convection between different gas mixes, etc.), and on cave exploration in the Yucatan (i.e. Nohoch Nah Chich, Dos Ojos, etc.). The reason for my interest in diving physics is that I am planning to major in Physics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I have been doing a little independent research on the cenotes in the Yucatan. I have been diving for a little over two years now. Working with shop classes, repairing equipment, and mixing gases has given me a certain amount of experience, but the majority of my experience has been my diving. I have done a small amount of trimix (deco) diving, and a little more nitrox diving . I am waiting to turn 18 ( counting down the days!!) to go through the Full Cave course. Until then, I am doing what I can. That is a little about me. I am looking forward to hearing from all of you in the future. Regards, Dawn Kernagis
