In coldish water I find the DUI 400g thinsulate excellent. On longer wreck
dives (2-3 hour run times approx) in Scotland last year in 8 degree water
(spring time) I was warm all the way through the stops. In very cold water
(4 degrees and lower) I tend to leave some extra weights at the deco station
which I can clip on at the upper stops and hence pump some more gas into the
drysuit to afford extra insulation. After this try argon and if necessary
heater technology - I think it is being cold at deco which is not DIR - but
I stand to be corrected!

My favourite rule here is avoid long deco dives in the winter. Ain't no fun
hanging around freezing your bollocks off. Between November and April I
stop deep wreck diving and just focus on cave trips - without much deco. I
was in the Ressel at the weekend which was fine (water temp about 11
degrees) but the short deco stops in the River Cele were bone chilling (2
degrees). I know this is a bit of a pussy philosophy but I dive for
enjoyment and cold does not enter that equation.

Regards

Mark

PS Not sure about what your options are in Denmark ;-)
