Is there a DIR philosophy on photo equipment?  

I'm debating between an SLR housing (Aquatica, Nexus,
Subal) for my Nikon 6006 or a Nikonos V.  Is one
better at depth than the other (I've heard Nikonos are
only good to 160').  I like the SLR housings because I
can use the light meter and auto-focus of the Nikon. 
Does anyone know which housings are easier to operate
with gloves/mits?  Any suggestions?  I've used a
Nikonos V a few times and found it great for macro but
guessing distances for normal shots was kind of a
pain.
