My personal favourite is a simple, clean (DIR :-):
Q Why do we breathe the long hose?
A Because ...
This the easiest way for a newbie to get an overview. We would probably
need around 20-30 questions to cover the basics. I do not think that the
answers should be long articles but the need to explain the reason _behind_
why it is done.

Yeah, why not go to the horse's mouth: JJ/Irvine? I do think the FAQ should
exist on a seperate server from any organisation - a là the Cobb website.

Some of us have kept the nuggets, so a general 'call for papers' may
restore your work?

I know this takes some work and I am quite busy myself. Don't break your
neck on it. Let's make it a joint effort (each person could write a
suggestion and the post it to the list for 'correction')?

So do you accept the callenge?

Yup! All you newbies: flame-free question time has begun! You can send
questions privately to one of the regulars if you want to (I hope) who will
then forward it to Sean, hopefully with an answer.

(I had a please to include a "DIR single tank setup" question).
