I am a new techdiver subscriber and thought I'd take a moment to introduce myself. I began diving in 1976, dove for about 7 years, and 6 years ago got back into diving with a refresher. Anyhow, more recently (Jan. 95), I completed deep air (to 200 ft) and technical nitrox courses. I am now "hooked" on this technical diving stuff. As of right now my main interests (in the area of tech diving) are 1) going deeper (a trimix course will be a must in the near future), and 2) wreck diving. I have only dove shallow water wrecks to this point, but will be interested in deep wreck/penetration dives in the future. (Any good intro book suggestions?) As a side note (although I hope someday the two will be combined) I am currently a Ph.D. student in Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech with a strong interest in, and "hands on" experience with, electro-mechanical control systems (e.g. use of microcontrollers/electronics to control mechanical systems such as valves). I have enjoyed reading the techdiver mail, and look forward to future discussions. Dutch
