The Halcyon Explorer wings provide optimal trim for dual tank diving. The Pioneer wings are designed with different widths and buoyancy characteristics ( beyond just total lift) to provide optimal trim with single tanks. Plus, unless you are using a very heavy wetsuit , you most likely don't really want 38 pounds of lift for your single tank diving---the Halcyon 27 is better for most people. You can't find a BC which is ideal for both single and dual tank diving----you end up with a lousy hybrid, like in bicycles, where you have mountain bikes and road bikes, and then they created the hybrid which stinks on the road, and stinks off road. In diving the distinction is even bigger.
