Also, its testimony that Ak has heard the difference between the dr and halcyon wing, and has chosen accordingly. Ak, My understand and experience with the diverite vs halycon< and I own both a diverite junior and Halycon explorer and scab wings> Is that the dive rite doesnt have the correct hose fitting < usually it has a pull dump although an elbow is an option> has a thinner nylon material covering the bladder which requires reinforcement, has an inferior quality bladder material and that material is joined using an inferior process, and that the shape, especially the shape of the junior wing is less than perfect. Currently I use my junior wing when diving double al 80 tanks, I have replaced the pull dump with an elbow, removed the lower dump ball, reinforced it with a sheet of rubber over the top, removed the buckles from the sides and replaced the plastic screw closed clamps with ss hose clamps, replaced the inflator hose with a shorter one, covered with bicycle inner tube, and replaced the inflator mechanism< however mine was replaced due to age>. The halycon wings suffered from none of the following defecienies and were ready for use straight from the box, after inspection of course. I dont think the junior is a full 45 lbs of lift and i question its effectiveness when diving with steel tanks. I believe the tanks you described have similar buoyancy to american hp100's, which i had a set of < and have replaced b/c of dir reasons> and the junior wings were in my opinion insufficient to float them and myself successfully when full. With the double or single al tank the junior is fine, and I am also of the belief that dir doesnt mean per say only halycon gear, but rather gear configured correctly and used with proper gas, attitude and support. Of course this must be properly balanced with the economic realities all of us face in our daily lives, the ultimate DIR is rov's and tethered newt suits from a 400ft ship, but now even G doesnt do it that right. A question: I am unfamiliar with the brand of "torch" you have posted about, It doesnt have any fuses, does it?
