The DiveRite standard wing has an expandable panel. In one regard it makes the wings nice in that you can have a 65lb wing in a 45lb package. But the panel is not made of spandex and is easy to puncture. In the old days you would put a tire innertube to reinforce this weak point of the DR standard wing. But the expandable material is really not needed, so modern wings don't have one. Personally I would rather have some 1000 denier ballistic cloth between the sharp, rusty wreckage and the inflation bladder than some spandex. I suppose if you don't do any penetration of any kind or any deco at all the DR standard wings will be OK. Now as far as your alias is concerned I think that anybody who wants to come on to this forum for the express purpose of being obnoxious and not disclose his or her full name is a pussy. Now go home and grow some chest hair or ante-up.
