I'm confused. In what way is DIR "over complicated"? DIR, among other things, is a minimalist approach to gear configuration. One of its goals is to *reduce* and *simplify* gear. One of it's primary tenants is to, where ever possible, use one piece of gear with two or more functions. The light canister, for example, hold the batteries, provides needed weight, and serves as a perfect retainer for the long hose which is routed around it; one piece of gear does the job of three. This is simplification at its best, not over complication. -Mike Rodriguez <mikey@ma*.co*> Pn(x) = (1/(2^n)n!)[d/dx]^n(x^2 - 1)^n -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
