Jeffrey & others,

Once again, ya'll would be well advised to listen
to George about these things!

Many years ago they were a favored regulator in
cave diving. Barry Kerley sold me my first
Cyklon 300 mid '70's before I knew better. Loved
it until it failed on me.

For those who work on your own regulators, next
time you tear down a 300/5000, take a look at the
piss ass little detent pin at the bottom of the
elbow on the demand lever. Mine broke during a
dive and guess what? No air whatsoever! This is
also not the only problem they have as George
already told you.

Lucky for me it was a shallow ocean dive and I
had a back up. Can you even imagine that CF in an
overhead environment or extreme depth situation?

I took it back and added it to my "Most Expensive
Piece of Shit Gear" pile. I will no longer work
on the things either for liability reasons.

BTW Jeffrey, I didn't replace it with a
"ScubaPro" either. There are other choices one
can make.

Just an experience you may wish to think about.

Sincerely,

WG
