Tom,

I think you are misinformed about the probability of CO2 problems from
breathing air stored in your BC. The BC does not release any CO2 and the gas
in it is fresh from your tank already (unless of course you manually filled
it, which is almost never done). The reason you are taught not to breath air
from your BC is contaminants, some people even use Clorox to kill any
bacteria growing in there. As you could imagine a breath full of that could
be quite unpleasant. Hope this clears things up. Any one out there knows how
CO2 would get in a BC, I think you should warn US!

Regards,
Richard Daniel

<< NEVER breathe the air from your bladder. The trick is that you operate
both
the exhaust and the inflator button at the same moment so you breathe
straight from BG. Rebreathing air from your bladder will almost certainly
black you out within a couple of minutes due to CO2.
Practice this skill in a pool like environment first before you think about
using this skill, and it does need practice...
The deal here is that your "third reg" comes from right post that does not
roll of. Ever using this option would need some strange situation indeed,
but still it is an option not to forget.
I can imagine you can figure out these situations yourself. <g>

 Best,
