> >1: I can't get my wingnuts on my backplate to stay tight. Then you do not have something right, look at someone else and see what is different about yours. The only time I've heard of someone having a wingnut problem , the fool was using nylon wingnuts and the threads stripped when he jumped in the water, the tanks came off his back and pulled him by his teeth on the second stage down to 90ft.How about it?Anybody that was there want to tell the story for a good laugh?I know who it was and who was there, somebody want to tell it for the fun of it. >2. I have given up my damn ankle weights; BFD. My question is, does >anyone actually use the Halcyon Gator Wraps? Is this a standard piece of >equipment for WKPP? I use the Bollinger waist neoprene rap that they sell at wal-marts as Gator wraps. >3. Anyone, WKPP included, use the Halcyon closed circuit lift bags? I >have problems shooting a bag while simultaneously holding the reel, >holding the bag mouth open, and sticking my reg inside. I need about one >more arm, and I still might go to the surface with the bag if the reg >catches in there. Once again you are doing it wrong, do not remove the second from your mouth to inflat the bag. This will cause an initial loss of gas , if you are sending up a bag in a life depending act because of low gas then you are screwed! A lift bag should not be part of your dive plan.It should be practiced , one should be able to deploy it in under a min. , even while having great mental stress .I like to use the open bottom bags , I can fill it without removing my second stage from my mouth and no lost gas, I only need to tilt my head and open the bag just over my exhaust port and the used gas will fill the bag , this causes no stress or lost gas.Lift bags can save you or kill you. >4. It bugs me a little that my Jetfins hold a couple of cups of water >after I take them off and clip them to my d-ring prior to beach walkout. Then turn them and dump the water out first before clipping them to the D ring. But whats the big deal, your already wet! > >Thanks. > >Cam >______________________________________________________ >Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com > >-- >Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'. >Send subscribe/unsubscribe requests to `techdiver-request@aquanaut.com'. -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
