George, this particular comment got me thinking a bit about how
physical characteristics relate to deco effectiveness. I am 6' 5" and
200 lbs, which is certainly not huge for that height. I have only even
moved up to 200 since I began my workout regimen, about a year and a
half ago. Before that I was as low as 180 - a pencil in disguise, with
such a rapid metabolism that I could eat a dozen doughnuts for lunch
every day and not gain a pound. (Not that I did... that was just to
illustrate the point. Eating well is just as important as the
workout.) Looking back at some of the deco profiles I have done (and
supposed mandatory deco time I have blown off) I am either very lucky,
or have a greater leeway with what I can get away with due to my body
type. My question to you: You have in the past made reference to
genetic predisposition to getting whacked, and I wanted to know if that
is entirely random, or correlates with thin vs. heavy-set guys. How
does your personal tolerance to pushing the envelope compare with a
thin guy like JJ, or has the physical conditioning brought you both to
a more even level with respect to this?
