> I totally agree with John, the course director was wrong to do what she did > and I'm working to make sure it doesn't happen again. > Then why the need for a NAUI only NG??? BTW, your initial post made it seem as though due to John's criticism's you no longer wanted to be subject to the tech list. We have all been beaten up on this list at one time or another. But in the final analysis, no matter what side of the fence you sit on. the bottom line comes down to stating your position AND defending why your position is better/worse than the others. If you are not ready to do that keep your positions to yourself. > Your reading words between the lines. I don't know how you are getting your > interpretations of my posts, even George sent me an email suggesting I > contact a particular person who might help us. > BIG DEAL. George sends many people e-mails. The words spoke for themselves. You were pissed that John attacked NAUI. But in reality you agree that the position John attacked was WRONG. So what the hell is the point???? > I never used the word "octo". I am a firm believer in donating the long hose > and never said otherwise. > Maybe you believe that. But wasn't that the very point of contention with respect to this seminar????????? > I never said "course directors subscribe to the list", I said "NAUI > instructors subscribe". Do you even know what the difference is between a > NAUI course director and a NAUI instructor? Semantics aside, I've forgotten more about recreational diving than most in that meeting will ever know. Later -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
