> After the recent post By John Walker about the NAUI ITC he was a guest > speaker at I decided to start a discussion list for NAUI members. Hopefully > we can open the minds of Course Directors who are not keeping up with the > times so NAUI doesn't have to take a public bashing on the lists. This is the typical bury your head in the sand mentality that will keep recreational divers in the dark for the next century. Rather than listening to what John had to tell you, you run off a create your own list where all you course directors can self congratulate each other rather than exchange ideas with divers who just might have more experience than you. You have highlighted atleast 2 of the absurdities of the recreational program. Once you have achieved the top of your food chain, you assume there is nothing else to learn because now you are a course director. BIG DEAL. And God forbid someone else has an idea that is contrary to what is currently being taught!!!! Oh my God, do you mean NAUI could be wrong??? How is it with all these months of experience in the technical arena that they know everything there is to know already???? I can remember at time not to long ago that Naui was dead set against tech diving. Now that they have seen the $$$$$$$$$$ they appear to know it all. John was right, you guys are clueless. Now run off to your new little list and congratulate each other on how well you can teach mask R & R's Later -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
