All this is not taking into account the backpressure from the position of your bladder relative to the pressure around you and at the output end of the valve, and the cracking presure of the check valves in the line. You would be amazed at how hard it is to seal any mechanism . I can feel the line and the catheter blow up every time, and luckily, mine has a tight grip. The twist offs in the checks tend to give a little as well.
