I've been playing around with a homebrew "ruggedized" Newton for some time now;
I built a deco software system into it, and added a pressure transducer. Are
people interested in this sort of thing? (Essentially, a user-reprogrambale
dive computer.) My impression was that Newton (and PDA's in general) have
not caught on (blame price, functionality, bulk, whatever), so there really
isn't much of a market.
