> Broadening a little why secure items like backup lights with little > pieces of bungie and not velcro? Pedro, there must be some misunderstanding. Backup lights are not secured with velcro. Rather, a bolt snap is tied onto the light, and it is clipped off on the shoulder D-rings. The other end is then retained by either an o-ring or a small cross-section of bike inner tube. The only uses of velcro that I can think of are on gator wraps, pocket flaps, argon bottle systems, and cam buckle straps for single-tank adaptors. > And what if my suit doesn't have any pockets ? Where to stuff these small > things according DIR ? Jozef, get the pockets. You can add them after-the-fact. Halcyon makes some nice ones, for example, and I suspect if you call one of their dealers they could recommend someone who can do the work of sewing and gluing them on. I think DUI will add them to any brand as well (in spite of my criticism of the velcro on one of their pockets they're otherwise good). Both companies have web sites. If you're diving wet you can unzip a little, tuck your WetNotes or tables inside, then zip back up. Diving wet has serious limitations as far as time, depth, and temperature are concerned, however, and even then the sewn-on pockets are still better. - Todd -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
