I have been using DivePlan s/w which runs on a Psion 5. The s/w uses Erik Bakers deep stop algorithm on Buhlmann. The s/w also does mixing and best mix calcs as well as producing runtime tables. A very compact solution to the problem of cutting tables out in the field. As Psion have now introduced the series 7, should be able to pick up a psion 5 for $300 or less now I would have thought. The DivePlan s/w is available from http://www.subaqua.co.uk Psions can be made splash proof by putting them in a thin plastic bag, and as most of the user interface is done by the touch screen, quick to input the plan even on the most damp/cramped boats. regards, Dave > on 12/12/99 3:51 PM, Jim Cobb at cobber@ci*.co* wrote: > > > Like Joel, I have found that Decom works great on a Mac with VirtualPC. > But > > I hated exposing my beloved G3 laptop to the salt air so I found a cheap > DOS > > laptop on the WEB. > > This is probably a better idea.
