Eric, McMaster-Carr (www.mcmaster.com) is one source. I ordered it from them as shock cord. (keyword search on shock and select elastic shock cord) Even though I ordered the smallest shock (3/16") cord in their catalog, it still was larger than the stock stuff that ships on Halcyon backplates. But that will probably make it a better choice for a guage strap. Also, check the catalog info on treated polypropylene as opposed to other shock cord materials. It probably is better for salt water.
