The inherent BEAUTY of the plastic release buckles is that they *do* break
when something's wrong...metal buckles may seem more sturdy, however,
the tendency is for the "lip" that secures the webbing to bend inward
through repeated use. This usually results in an UNEXPECTED slippage of
the webbing through the release buckle.

Use TWO quick releases, plastic, and you'll find better results.
