As a previous SAR diver these courses are good if you plan on involving 
yourself in anykind of SAR/rescue/police work.  They are not for the weak 
stomached either.  however one of the most often asked questions is Why do 
you do what you do.  the answer is because we can.  not macho bullshit but 
because we have the skills to do it and in a sence feel obligated to fufill 
these duties.  there is no glory in it but it provides peace of mind to 
those who have lost freinds and family as well as to the searchers.

These courses are generally full of great information however be advised 
that the content of these courses are not for everyone.
