Dan, your "kill file" is like everything else about you - bullshit. Besides being an obvious hypocrite, the fact is you are one more NE blowhard with an enfatuation with me. You read every last little thing I write, but unfortunately, you do not understand much of it, and it shows. I can send you a picture of me, and you can look at it with Kuiper's backup light under the covers at night if you have worn out the tapes by now. We just finished a new one this weekend, called DIR III, and you can get an autographed copy - you badly need it. In between posts packed with misinformation and uninformed slop are your twisted recollections of your invention of DIR, which you are proven in some thirty posts that you do not understand, and your plans for what you will do in the future, like buy a CCR and become an even bigger time hot shot on the local dive boat and rebreather list. Myself having set a few records using a rebreather, I can only sit here an laugh at your "understanding" of the application of such an instrument - clueless. Of course, you are "going" to get one. Of more interest to me is debunking each and every one of your nonsensical dive posts as they relate to standard OC diving. I am asuming that the others out there already took care of that with the first 30 or so, I got in a little late on this after I heard we had a new hero on the list. For instance, in one of the two posts that I read and responded to ( the one with the oxygen "poney" ), you recommend the OMS manifold. Here again we see that you are hopelessly out of the loop when it comes to understanding of basic dive gear and techniques. The worst manifold I have ever seen, and certainly the most suboptimal, is the OMS. It is non-adjustable, has face seals, and is fixed, among many other problems, but it is already out of the running . Any number of others, such as the Sea Elite, Dive Rite, Scuba Pro, Halcyon or others have double barrel o-rings and are adjustable. Besides the obvious, and the fact that there are no face seals to leak gas out overnight, if you hit something with the center section, it merely spins harmlessly and causes no problem. The OMS will not do that. The OMS is once again a hastily slapped together piece of shit in my opinion, and only the uninformed would have it. By the way, Scuba Pro and others have been making manifolds properly for 15 years. Where have you been? I thought you wer the "MAN" in diving? OMS is a relatively new company. In fact, I remember being at Billy Dean's place one day when he was giving dive lessons to the guy who owns OMS. So let me get this rigiht - you recommend a manifold that has been around for about 5 years and is suboptimal , yet you have all the answers and have been "DIR" for 15 years, right (yeah, right) ? Could this be more NE blowhard bullshit? You have set youruself up as some big "expert". While certainly "big" ( at least around the middle ), you are no expert on anything ralating to diving other than how to blow smoke about it, an epidemic amoung NE wreck "divers". Anyone who listens to any of your "advice" is getting screwed. Optimal choices in gear save these guys a lot of money - that is why they listen to me - they know that I know what I am talking about, and you keep proving you do not. To make matters worse for you, no amount of posturing or blubbering about me will overcome the fact that there is nothing that you or any of your big time pals have done or will ever do that approximates what the WKPP pulls off routinely in the way of diving, and there is no way that any of the slobber that you have spewed on here can or will ever compare to the volumes of information that has been proven exactly correct which has emanated from me and the WKPP. I know this causes no end of consternation for you NE blowhards, but the fact is that my team and I do as a hobby what you "experts" and "professionals" ( if there is such a thing as prfessional boat monkey) can't touch, and everyone knows it. Personally, I think it is a riot, and I take great pleasure in raising the bar higher and higher and higher and then talk about it just to make it even worse, and you keep buying into it. By the way, I hear you have adopted the NE boat monkey line about me having "permits" so that my team dives with me. Not true, asshole. I have no permits. The Wakulla permit is in the name of Casey McKinlay, the WKPP Project Coordinator. The Dept of the Interior permits are in the name of Chris Werner, who runs many aspects of the WKPP and many of the dive sites, the Dept Of Ag permits are in the name of the WKPP, and the private permits are in the name of the WKPP. While I am the Project Director, thre are many other "officers" of the Project and this is mostly because the team not only insists that I do that job, nobody else wants it. Also, I am but one of the many divers, and 90% of what goes on by the WKPP does not even involve me at all. In fact, I have been training for the Ironman most of this year and have not been to a WKPP dive since June, and will not be at any until that contest is over. I guess that makes your little observations just a tad off the mark, like everything else you come up with. The fact is I put the Project together in its present large-scale, organized state, legitimized it, arranged the ability to get permits by it with or without me, trained the people and gave them the reins, and the results speak for themsleves, as does the fact that we now have scores of capable divers who do things that a stroke like you will never ever be able to even understand, let alone do. That is a fact, and that is what really bothers you and the rest of the blowhards. That and the reality that everyone who really wants to learn anything about this comes to us, worldwide, not to Dan Sutton . \\Dave Sutton wrote: > > Sadly, my killfile was not properly setup, and > it allowed me to notice that George amused many > by shouting to the crowd in his usual ranting manner > a bunch of disjointed insults that any self-respecting > psychiatrist would find interesting including: > > >boat monkey > >"step aside for the expert" > >New England wreck diving slob > >aligator mouth > >and long tall tales of hasbeenism, > >wannabeism > > nebverbeenism > >mile long rap sheet of bullshit > >belied by the abosolute mindless drivel > >drooling posts > >unprecedented public rant > >parasites on these lists. > >ignorance beyond the pale - > > Having a prozac-free day, George? > Better check back in at the clinic, since your paranoid > is showing.
