Only meant the line as a means of shedding stages. I use mine as a reference for the 20 foot stop. At the end of the stop, I clip my stage to that line *while still at 20 feet* and make for the ladder. I don't block traffic at all, and I still have my basic rig for the eventuality of getting flipped off the ladder by the sea. While I'm only doing this with one stage bottle, it works equally well for more. Under more benign conditions, I will sometimes use the equipment line for my entire rig.
