Dave
I see some likeness to your answers and Georges , of course you are not
calling everyone names , which makes the exchange meaningful. scroll down

Sounds like George here , I believe even I rigged like I am would sink if I
Blackout.
It seems most try to stay neutral on the ascent which means you sink in a
Blackout.
On the decent most are negative and will sink on a blackout.

You have changed your gear , you were talking twin overpumped 80's .

I know the best answer here , even the best wreckdiver I know has put that
pony reg in his mouth by mistake going down , if it had been 02 he would
have been dead before it was empty at 200ft + , get the damn thing off your
back.

If you need to over pump a forty with 02 , you have a poor sac rate.
This also requires a H. pump .Why do it.

There are many reasons to carry it on the side
1)you can see your gauge
2)reseat an oring if you have to and prepare yourself if it is about to be
empty and don't tell me you got a hose long enough to see it , more CF if
you do
3)change regs if you have an extra if it fails
4)open the thing if you forget to on the boat
5)close it if the second stage free flows
6)slob lines to the valve when it is on the back , just add to the CF
7)if it does get snag you can easily unsnag it

do you get the picture here or must I go on

>What's the need to carrying -4- bottles to the Doria?

are you counting back gas or just stages?

The only gas would be hung is 02 , I have several things I look at in a
dive plan.I would post my doria plan if you wish to see it and my way of
planning fail points and back ups.I'm sure the Gods from the south will
attack it , but they dive different.I do not count on the anchor being
there or the boat.

I have not had to carry 4 stages on a dive yet , even 400ft+ dive I did
this summer I only took 2 stages.I had more than enough gas per my sac rate.

I will to some day.

Civility

Open

there will always be a better way

I don't see the gods posting , they maybe diving , they did not get blown
out this weekend like we did. There definition of foreplay is BRACE YOURSELF
and you should do the same.

Naah.....
