I spent some time modifying my Dive-Rite harness.  I replaced the webbing 
with a more rigid one and I added two D-rings.  The modification which I am 
not sure is good is the installation of a quick release buckle on the left 
shoulder.  I fixed the bottom part of it with a plastic weight stop (the 
webbing pass three times in it).

I would like to know if others divers had bad experience using plastic quick 
release buckles and plastic weight stop.  It this tough enough (to support 
doubles and stages)? Are there better makes and models than others?
