OK here we go!

First lets put George in the proper order of his dive skills
Cavediver - Oceandiver - Reefdiver-Ponddiver ect. I could
go on but the point here is at the Bottom of the list would fall his
wreckdiving skills - simply meaning ,to dive a wreck does not make one a
wreckdiver.

>I've seen plenty of info from George I know his

I have not seen a post from George that did not have an opinion with it, he
is quick to tell everyone how great he is and how dumb everyone else is
..Why put an opinion on this list when the same few bash it , because it
does not match theirs.

Yes keep your dives simple , you have 2 goals in a dive, the first should
be to come back alive , second if you spearfish thats it , artifact hunt
thats it, explore thats it, meaning do not over task yourself with more
than 2 goals on a dive, with the first being always coming back alive.

>So far many of George's ideas have given me some food

No I do not have any radical ideas , I like to dive , diving is fun to me
, I look for reasons to dive if I can't find one I make one up , just to go
dive.George can test all he wants , I dive for the fun of it.The basics
keep me alive and having fun.And before George ask this , yes I had fun on
my Doria trip , right up to the point that Charlie was missing , there is
no fun in a death .

George will never admit that , his ego won't let it happen.
In his mind the way he thinks is "I may not always be right , but I'm never
wrong"

>So far I haven't seen anything though, so I'm not

If George told you to hold your breath , would you?

The Jersey reel will always be a debate , those that use them and have
been for years will stick to it , hard to teach an old dog a new trick.I
on the other hand think it sucks.Yes I have one , it sets under my
workbench in retirement.I found it a pain to carry sometimes hard to remove
and a snag. The line rots and will break at the worst time. Some divers
have died deploying it I've heard.
My alternative is to use my wreckreel on dives of less than 130ft with
300ft of line on it , I carry a small pc. of line that rots in my bag.I
will take it and tie a loop on the wreck , send my bag up on my reel and
then pull the reel through the loop and ascend up the line as I payout line
from the reel .After I have completed my deco I pop to the surface on the
line and locate the boat.I then cut the line at the bag and reel in the
line, the line will slide through the loop and the loop is left to rot on
the wreck. This will not work on deep wrecks and on those I will tie it to
the wreck , with artifacts from deep that need a bag , they go up no line
, the mates will get it.I have been practicing this on night dives to make
it hard.It works. The line left on the wreck is less than 2ft , I lose no
line off my reel , I do not lose the boat or the boat me. I am open for
comments on this, some on this list have seen me do it .

No system is fool proof , there will always be a better fool.
