Thanks for the suggestions as to why my mask skirts are tearing. I wash =
and clean my mask after every day of diving and store them in a box. =
They don't get much sun exposure.

I didn't want to mention this before, not wanting to taint my question. =
I know that my skin acidity is a bit different from most. Certain mixes =
of neoprene, latex, and silicone tend to break down and become =
mushy/sticky after repeated contact with my skin... (despite frequent =
washing to remove any oils) particularly when they're in contact with my =
face. I'm of Icelandic/Danish descent and my skin is very dry, but I =
think the oils in my face are attacking the silicone. =20

Does this sound familiar to anybody on the list?
