Peter's critique of the production quality is right on the money which is a shame because the content deserved better. In spite of the production quality the tape is well worth purchasing. I alone am responsible for this and it embarrasses me to no small degree. Although it would be hard to tell with this tape I actually do this for a living and have won two awards earlier this year for my productions (not an Oscar nor an Emmy, but competitive awards nevertheless). The only face saving fact about the production is that it was produced for free at no small expense in time and effort, working with an editing system that was also not up to the task. Bad or poor camera work could have been mitigated by using different footage illustrating some of the concepts in practice, but at that time my NLE system had limited capacity nor the ability to reliably build long projects in segments. That has changed and I will seek an opportunity to redo this tape, but the timeframe will be such that it will not be worth waiting for if you have an interest in learning DIR concepts within the next six months.
