Hi Everyone, In a private email message, it became clear that some people thought I was saying that you can manage a diver who is convulsing underwater *while they breathe from a scuba mouthpiece*. This was not my intention. An O2 convultion while breathing from a scuba mouthpiece is very difficult/imposs- ible to manage. Staying down while their convulsion subsides will almost certainly result in them drowning. When I said you should not change the depth of a convulsing diver I was refering only to those who have a breathing system that means they will not aspirate water. With a scuba type system you would have the choice between drowning them, or *possible* embolism. :( My original post on this was to point out that the *comms* requirement of an Edmonds table could be met with line signals, saving several thousand dollars. I was *not* saying you can do without a full face mask. A FFM *without* comms can be purchaced for around $150 AUD. (eg Cressi Sub, TechniSub or Poseidon FFM's) A mask for comms is about $800 AUD plus comms themselves, for thousands. (you also need two masks, one for the attendent and one for the diver) Sorry for the confusion Cheers Jason (Clan Cameron)
