Yeah, I think this has been brought up before, but here is my take on it -

None of the gear I sold is downright dangerous, it's just not the optimum. I
am a firm believer in DIR, and now I keep my regular OW rig as close to my
cave rig as I can, but really, if someone just wants to do simple OW reef
dives, and they want to use a jacket BC, or transpac, or whatever, that's
their business.

When I sold my Zeagle Ranger, I was very clear to point out that it is a
fine _Recreational_ BC, and I was selling it because I was going to wing &
backplate for all my diving.

Yes, I think my 27lb Halcyon wings & backplate is the best system for OW
diving, even if I never again wore a set of doubles. But if an OW diver
prefers a 'showroom comfort' BC, well, that's their choice. If they ask me,
I will tell them which option I think is better for _all_ diving, but I
don't look at myself as having a 'ministry' to preach <g>.
