Subject: Re: Scootering inside wrecks
They were under contract to produce a TV show - I do not know what
production company . Bob Sherwood is back, he probably has the details.
Robert spoke to JJ and JJ said they got very good multi chip digital
video of the whole wreck. I believe the pictures on the GUE website are
taken from that digital footage.

Due to the time difference, I have not been able to speak to JJ. Every
time he calls the signal is no good. The last time he called, Robert and
I were in the middle of a bike ride.

The only thing I can say without talking to any of them is that is
should be apparent that DIR methods are superior for wreck diving , cave
diving skills are superior for wreck diving, the equipment we have
developed and perfected is superior for wreck diving, and the bullshit
that the strokes have always dreamed about Florida cave divers not being
able to dive anything but cave is baloney.

But you already know that . JJ grew up diving in Palm Beach, and both he
and I did a ton of diving in the ocean before we ever saw a cave. I was
gas diving before I ever saw a cave. In fact, one of the only reasons I
ever started cave diving was to have something to dive when the weather
was too bad to go ofshore.

The fact is that strokes don't live long cave diving, but get away with
wreck diving for ever I ( mostly ), and based on the number of strokes
who dive wreck successfully, it would be hard to believe that a guy like
JJ could not walk down and F them all in wreck diving.

Personally, I would rather drift along and see what comes next on the
ocean floor, just as I like to see what is around the next corner in a
cave. Can't help it, I keep coming back.
