Hey Grant,
I can't remember where you say you're from, but Graeme and Sue Davison are
DIR instructors based in Surrey. They currently teach up to IANTD Tech Nitrox,
though
they will also be GUE instructors as soon as the HSE applications are
processed.
Drop them a line and they will be delighted to help out, suggesting other
instructors
if appropriate. Check out their web site:

has loads of DIR rigging stuff. They can also supply George and Bill's DIR II
tape
(which I thoroughly recommend) along with the other WKPP tapes.

As for printed books, I don't think there is very much available. "The Art of
Safe Cave
Diving" (the NACD cave diving manual) has an excellent chapter by Bill Gavin
on
Hogarthian gear rigging, and JJ's Intro Cave manual should be available before
too
long. Check out www.gue.com for details. In fact, check out www.gue.com anyway
as
it will answer most of your questions, and provides detail of GUE instruction
available.
