What you don't get Tod, is that it is too late to be a pussy. And being a nice guy with good intentions is like trying to empty a busy latrine with your own spoon-it's nearly impossible and it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. By stepping onto a boat that is headed out to do a real dive, you are defacto stating that you are preppared and know your shit. If you step onto the boat and you haven't even figured out the gear ( which would be obvious if you are a stroke),you deserve a beating-because you have just taken the first step to fucking it up for everyone. You might be able to drive home drunk from your favorite pub everynight, but you are endangering everyone around you. If you don't thionk that it is good manners now, wait until you get a chance to lift a dead body onto a stretcher or you watch a persons eyes explode when the body come up from depth. I have been there and I kept my mouth shut to the guy that died. JT will verify this, I called the gear "an accident waiting to happen" on the ride out. That guy did not belong on the boat, but I was the outsider so I played it quiet and didn't say anything except to the guys I was visiting. That guy probably would have gotten over the insults.-EZ >Sean: > >This analogy may be suffering in quite a few areas, not the least of which being >that George (with all due respect) in not the Marine Sgt.
