George,
I bought a harness and wings from him unseen. (I know how stupid). He
was in a big rush because he was leaving for Thailand and insisted I
send him a Postal check before he'd ship. I told him I wasn't too keen
on that for obvious reasons and he said (I know) "you can trust me, I
know George well and I'm not going anywhere, I'm very involved with
WKPP, Instructor, etc and I'll stand behind the wings if you have a
problem. Guaranteed fully operational no if, ands or buts.
The wings are definitely not as new as he proffessed, the backplate is
aluminum not stainless and the harness is too small. When I tried to
reach him all I get is an answering machine and he tellsd by email you
dive the exact same setup and nobody dives SS anymore. It's not so much
the money(ah) it's the principle and a bruised ego and now I can't find
the lying sack of shit even after leaving messages in Thailand.
That is my sorry story.
